Indian Miniatures (2024)
Inspired by a long-term love of Indian Miniatures, in 2021 Neeta apprenticed herself to master miniaturists Ajay and Vinita Sharma to learn the craft of this painting form first-hand. Since 2023 she has been travelling to Jaipur, India to study with her teachers, developing skills in pigment-making, and the drawing and painting of figures and the natural world as both studies and original works. Her practice is substantiated by regular research visits to public collections such as the Ashmolean Museum to see historical Indo-Persian Miniature works.
