Orchidomania (2016-17)

Orchidomania is a collaborative body of work by Neeta Madahar and Melanie Rose. Inspired by a Victorian orchid collection, it comprises 8 silver gelatin prints and a handmade screen-printed wallpaper. Commissioned for The Moon and a Smile exhibition in March-April 2017 at the Glynn Vivian Gallery in Swansea, Wales, the work responds to the life and family circle of Welsh gentleman botanist and photographer John Dillwyn Llewellyn.
